The Object

We made this for Sara, our second customer.

Sara ordered our first mask in November 2023. Six weeks later she emailed us asking if we could bundle three pieces as an anniversary gift for her partner. We weren't selling bundles yet. We didn't have a pouch design.

We boxed her order with the three items separately and added a card. Three weeks later, two of her friends emailed asking for the same thing.

So we made The Ritual Set. The Mask, The Silk Pillowcase, and The Throw, the three Casa Hush pieces we'd give first. Bundled in a 35 × 40 cm linen drawstring pouch sewn from atelier offcuts, no extra packaging.

Anniversary. Housewarming. Recovery. Mother's Day. The friend who moved into a flat alone for the first time. We're not pretending it's anything more than a curated selection, but the pieces in it are the three we'd hand someone if they asked us where to start.

What you're giving

The pieces we'd give first.

Most "gift sets" are clearance items in a box. We made The Ritual Set the opposite way around. The three pieces in it are the three we'd recommend if someone asked us where to start with Casa Hush. The Mask because most people don't realize how much weight changes sleep. The Silk Pillowcase because it's the easiest one-product change that pays off the first night. The Throw because it's the kind of object you don't think to buy yourself but you remember someone giving you years later.

The pouch is the part that turned this from "three orders in one box" into a gift. 35 × 40 cm of linen, drawstring, sewn from offcuts left over from our other work. We considered tissue paper and a ribbon. The pouch felt right because it lasts, most recipients tell us they kept it as a travel pouch for the pillowcase when they go away.

Common questions.

Can I swap pieces in the bundle?

No on the structure, these three pieces are what makes it The Ritual Set. Yes on color and size of each piece. Reply to your order confirmation email with preferences and we'll cut accordingly. Email us first if you want to confirm what's possible before ordering.

How do I customize colors?

Order the set, then reply to the order confirmation email. Tell us the color you'd like for The Mask (5 options), The Silk Pillowcase (5), and The Throw (3). We cut each piece to your preference. If we don't hear from you within 48 hours, we ship the defaults: Charcoal mask, Oat pillowcase, Oat throw.

Is the gift card personalized?

Yes, Mei writes one for each set. At checkout there's a notes field; tell us the recipient's name and any short message you'd like added. We won't add a "Happy Birthday from John!", that's for the giver to write, but we will address it to the recipient and sign it on behalf of Casa Hush.

Good for anniversary or housewarming?

Both, those are the two most common reasons we ship this set. Also: post-surgery recovery, mother's day, the friend who just moved out alone, the friend who just had a baby. The pieces work for anyone who sleeps and reads. Which is most people.

What if one piece isn't right?

30-night trial applies to each piece individually. Recipient can return any one (or all three) for refund or exchange. Return shipping is on us in the UK; international customers pay return.

Why only $42 off?

The three pieces still take the same hours to cut and finish, Mei doesn't sew faster because they're bundled. The savings come from shared shipping (one box instead of three) and the linen pouch costing us less than gift-wrapping each piece separately. We don't run deeper bundle discounts because it'd mean cutting Mei's wages, and we don't do that. All three pieces are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
